Crash Course World Mythology #1:
This video talked about what myths really are and how to define them.
Myths contain 2 key elements: a significance and staying power.
Many/most talk about the creation of the world/parts of the world and how the world came to be.
On the line of religious.

Crash Course World Mythology #12:
This video was talking about the study of myths. People didn't really start studying myths until around the 18th or 19th century.
Joseph Campbell is a modern myth studier (1970s).  He was credited for influencing the star wars movies.

Crash Course World Mythology #25:
This video was over hero's and more importantly their journey.
A journey for a hero is a to be away from safety and go toward adventure.
According to Campbell there are 3 main parts with 17 sub parts that a joinery may/ does include.
The journey:
Part 1- The separation. A call to adventure.
Part 2- Trials and victories. To demonstrate worthiness and endure psychological danger.
Part 3- The return. Finding acceptance back home.
