How to Use a Semicolon:
The video talks about what a semicolon is and when are the appropriate times to use one. A semicolon is more definite than a comma but less definite than a period. This is what makes is versatile and useful. Can replace a conjunction to shorten sentence.

Useful Tasks-
1. Clarify a sentence.
2. Link independent clauses.
3. Connecting related causes.

Main Rules-
1. Unless they are being used in lists, they should only connect related clauses.
2. Almost never before coordinating conjunctions (and, but, for, nor, so, yet, etc).

When to Use an Apostrophe:
Used in 3 Ways-
1. To mark possession.
-Noun + '
2. To mark contraction.
3. To mark the plural of single letters.
